Tortoise shed for my Leapord Tortoise?? help needed?
hi everyone, i have a 4 year old female leopard tortoise who currently lives indoors, but she is out growing her tortoise table quickly. i am considering buying her a dog kennel with an attached run, so that it will last a fair few years. one like this

would it be suitable for her? i also live in the UK but would like her live in here all year round, i would lock her indoors over night to keep her warm, but let her out all through the day. i was wondering what i would need to do to the inside bit of it so that she could stay outside all year round, would i need to insulate it and how long would i leave her heat lamp on through the day and night? would i need a heat mat? what substrate would i use for the inside and what bedding?… i just need some information on housing a tortoise outside through the different seasons, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you
We keep sulcata’s outside year round in a area that the temps fluctuate from below freezing to 100F.
in the cold months a pig farrowing mat or piglet mat is pluged into a thermostate and run 24/7 to provide a warm spot ( its set to run at about 70F) the pig mats are safe to run with bedding such as wood chips and straw. UV and heat lamps run for 16 hours a day in one corner of their shed. Between these two the shed stays nice and warm. For exceptinally cold times we run a liquid filled radiator
