do i need to buy the pioneer HD radio tuner for my Pioneer radio?
i recently bought a new Head Unit the pioneer p3200BT and i was wondering if i can only buy the pioneer HD receiver to go with it or can i go with a different brand for the receiver. like alpine or clarion
For optimal results you should most likely go with a receiver built by pioneer, but technically as long as you can make the wires fit together any receiver will work. Just remember, pioneer tests their head units with their own receivers and makes both the head unit and receiver to work together. With that said, the smart choice would be to try to keep the brands the same.
